I’m a 27-year-old animal lover with a lifelong interest in animal care and behaviour. My experience began when I was 12, volunteering on a farm as an animal ranger, where I gained hands-on experience with both domestic and exotic animals. After school, I studied Animal Management for a year, building on my knowledge of animal care and welfare. I then went on to volunteer at a wildlife park and a doggy daycare, where I gained further experience working with a range of species and different temperaments in structured care environments. Alongside this, I also have experience caring for small animals including hamsters, guinea pigs, and rats, which helped strengthen my understanding of daily care, responsibility, and routine-based handling. More recently, I have been raising my own puppy who is a Cardigan Welsh Corgi which has given me up-to-date, practical experience with dog training, behaviour, and day-to-day care. This has further strengthened my confidence in reading dog body language and supporting positive routines. I also regularly walk a family friend’s Jack Russell, which has further helped me gain even more experience handling different breeds and energy levels. I’m calm, reliable, and focused on animal welfare, always aiming to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and understood. I’m also respectful of owners’ homes and routines and happy to follow any specific instructions to ensure consistency and the best welfare for any pet. No matter what type.
